And the award goes to.....

Since Christmas is just around the corner I have been asking myself the big question......WHAT am I going to get my kids?! I have always tried get them something that they will play with and LOVE ALL YEAR LONG but, I am afraid that I am out of good ideas.
SO I decided to ask you....all my faithful blog readers to help!
WHAT ARE YOU BUYING FOR YOUR KIDOS THIS YEAR?
Here is my list of Christmas gifts that I got for my kids last year that they still love. (for all of you that are asking that big daunting question!)
1. Star Wars Lego Video Game.....I know a video game....but Caleb loves it and it is a nice reward to get after all his chores and homework and finished. Plus, it is an easy game to understand and control.
2. Talking Dora Doll House - I got our Dora house off of Craigslist. It came with everything at a sweet price of only $40! It was awesome. To make a long story short, the people I bought it from lived in the getto in West St. Paul. I brought a friend along because, you never know! Anyway, I am glad it did because when I got there there was BLOOD on the snow...yes, I did say BLOOD! To say the least I took the house and RAN!
p.s. I did clean EVERYTHING!

3. Darla Doll - If you are going to be buying a doll this year this is the one to get!! It is the best doll. She laughs when you tickle her feet, cry's when you touch her hand, say's "Mama" when you touch her cheek, makes sleeping sounds when you lay her down, and drinks from a bottle. I know what you may be thinking......"talking doll, no way!" But wait, she does have an on off switch and when she is on and making some noise it is QUIET! This doll is also cute and soft. You can find her at Toys R Us.

So there you have it! Now its your turn! Give me your ideas!

I like to move it!

Some of us like to get our groove on!

Caleb has an awesome bus driver that lets the kids listen to some really fun music on the bus drive home. He usually gets off singing the songs at the top of his lungs! Recently it has been this song.....so to say the least we have been watching the music video daily.

Here is the music video from You Tube. I am sure that your kids will love to listen and dance to it! Enjoy kidos!! (Seth, Caleb has been wanting to show you this music video. He thought that you might want to "rock out" to it!)

"Mommy, can we go to the zoo yet?!"

Hannah spent about 1/2 hour looking at the Zebras! She LOVES zebras. Can you guess what she is going to be for Halloween??

So we have been planning a trip to the Zoo for about 3 months now.......and yes we FINALLY went! I figured that we better go before it got too cold. The Hoggle Zoo was not nearly as big as I remembered it when I was small, but it was still fun. Of course Kurtis had to work and I was not brave enough to ask anyone from my ward to come with us, so.......we went by ourselves. I got lucky in that the Zebras were right next to the bears, which Caleb wanted to see the most. So it worked out perfectly.......PLUS there were these great little picnic tables right in between! (great for Mommy's who have nothing else to do!)

There was nobody at the Zoo when we went so we got to ride the Carousal with no line! Caleb had a blast, Hannah on the other hand was a little nervous.

This cute little Gorilla was eating his lunch. The kids watched him forever!!

This is defiantly a Funniest Home Video moment! We had no idea that it was going to spray water at the kids!
Please Note: Caleb is quite the show off with all these cute girls around!

Some stuff I am making for the craft fair

Bitty Booties
These are SO cute!! I just love how they turned out! Now I just have to sell them! I have made some for little boys too! Just need to take some pictures of them.

Can I just tell you how badly I want a new camera!!! I took about 30 pictures and this is the only ones that turned out even kind of good. So sorry about the blurry looking picture. I am going to post some more later......I am going to TRY to edit them.....they need all the help they can get!

Anyway, this is a Tutu Dress. It just turned out so beautifully, I wish the picture was better. I really think that these are going to sell well, but we shall see!

Very Scary!

This past Saturday I took the kids to "This is the Place Monument" to enjoy some Halloween festivities. The kids got all decked out in Halloween attire way before it was time to go. So I thought that it would be fun to put a little make-up on them since we had the time.....and I was putting off taking a shower and of course, cleaning the house. Caleb wanted to go as a Pirate so I put some black eyeliner around his eyes, gave him an earring and a little goatee. It looked awesome! Later I got in the shower and put on my make-up.
Hannah: "Mom, you look REALLY SCARY!!"
Me: "Why do you think that?"
Hannah: "You have scary black eyes like Caleb does!!"
Me:"Oh...." *sigh*
Being a mom gives you such high self esteem!!

When it really counts!

Okay....So I have been neglecting my children latly.....why you ask? Well, I Have been getting ready for a 3 DAY craft fair in November. I feel like it consumes my time, and I mean ALL my time. And when I am not gluing/sewing/designing/cutting/shopping for supply/interneting(is that even a word?!) for ideas *gasp* I am THINKING about it!
So being the great mother that I am, I decided to make some delicious Carmel apples with the kidos. It was fun and did not take a lot of time PLUS, it made me feel like a mom again. SO there you go! I will post some of my beautiful creations later...
*sigh*
when I have time! :)

The rest......

Sorry about all the pictures, but I did take about a million! It was a lot of fun to be there with Derek and Christi and baby Evelyn! My kids loved playing with their little cousin Evelyn and I can't wait to see them again! Thanks for the fun time guys!

Hannah

HANNAH:
Don't let her cute smile fool you! She is full of sass and spunk!

She loves everything pink, fluffy, and tiny! In the store we have to feel everything that is even kinda soft. She is very fun and full of life! We love her very much!

She loves ANYTHING tiny! I had to get a sack for her to carry ALL of her tiny "things" that she collected on our walk.

Caleb

CALEB:
Lover of all things boy!
He loves to climb (on everything), throw rocks, fight with sticks, dress up, and of course wrestle with dad! I love him so much! He is such a sweet little boy, who seems to be growing up too fast! He is also very caring and is an awesome big brother.

This video shows Caleb is his element!

"There is beauty all around"

Be prepared to see lots of pictures from our trip to the cabin in Island Park, ID. It was absolutly gorgouse! A photograghers dream ( not that I think of myself as a photogragher)! I just could not stop clicking! So here are a few of the beautiful colors that surounded us on our 3 day vacation! (Lets just say I did not want to leave!) Unfortunately Friday was the only nice day. The other two days were rainy and cold. So we took advantage of this nice day!

Two little hams!

Hannah and Bethany
Kenneth and Melanie came down from Boise to help Janae with her new little baby Levi. And while they were here Bethany and Hannah had a blast doing everything girly! We made bracelets, painted our nails pink (of course) Hannah: "Oh, I LOVE this color!", colored pictures, and ate popcyles! These two little cousins have so much fun togther!

Hannah's H's

Ever since Caleb started school Hannah has wanted to do her "homework" when he does. So we have been practicing writing her name. She has gotten down H. She can also connect the dots to spell her name. It has been fun to teach her when she is so eager to learn.
Hannah loves the letter H so much that she writes it on EVERYTHING! One day she wanted to color on a blank piece of paper and when she was finished she came to show me.......yes, you guessed it, it was COVERED in H's! Its a good thing that their are two in her name!
