Fathers Day

We had such a great fathers day!! The kids always get so excited about celebrating anything!  We are so thankful for Kurtis.  He is such a great father and husband.  He is our superhero, has Hannah says!!

We had a super bad storm a few weeks ago and the wind somehow managed to blow our tramp onto our deck!  It was super scary!! The next day Kurtis put it on the grass but could not flip it over without help, so Hannah used it as her "gymnastics" floor!

perfect

After some of my shoots I watch the sun set.  I so thankful for the peace, beauty, and warmth that surrounds me for those few minuets. Minnesota is so beautiful in the summer, rolling green hills, bright green trees, elegant farmsteads.  It really is picturesque!

Summer Bucket List #1 - outdoor movie night

The kids and I made a summer bucket list (something fun to do each day of summer)!  Outdoor movie night was at the top of our list! I thought that the perfect day for this would be the day the kids got out of school!  We invited anyone and everyone to come watch "Honey I Shrunk the Kids", eat popcorn and snuggle with their blankets and pillows on the grass!  It was such a hoot to see the kids get so excited.  We will differently do this again!! And next time I will remember to take more pictures!

Playing before the movie started!

Spring time!

I LOVE spring!  We spend everyday outside playing in the sun!  Every night my kids are filthy and sweaty and tired...
This is what we have done this week.  I bought a new lens (50mm 1.8) and was playing around with the aperture, it was SO fun! Love it already!

Summer toes!  My new fav picture!

 Porter saw an airplane.
Did not focus right AT ALL, but loved my kids faces!  So I edited it anyway!

Caleb and Hannah are laughing at Caleb's shirt being off.  I told Caleb that he needed to turn his shirt around because he was wearing an angry birds shirt... not very cute for a picture, so he just took it off. Porter then wanted to take off his, which led to this...

There was such yummy light and I was yelling at my kids to "get over here"!  Notice Caleb's shirt...I know. I am one of those moms who let their kids pick out there own clothes at the store!
We painted our swing set and Caleb jumped at the chance to put it back together!  What a manly man, he loved that drill! Love him.

Feeling so blessed

“There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again.”
- Elizabeth Lawrence
