Tea please

I had to post some of these pictures on my family blog, just because they turned out so cute!  Hannah's outfit was made by a good friend of mine.  She is such a talented seamstress. Every thing she makes turns heads!

These outfits were screaming tea party photo shoot, so we planed to take pictures of her daughter and Hannah on a Saturday evening.  When the time came to leave Caleb started throwing up, but felt like he would be okay with a blanket and his DS.  We dragged Caleb along and thankfully Caleb made it though.  And of course we got some great shoots.   Enjoy these sweet girls!

Thats the nicest thing

I have been trying to lose a few pounds before we go a on a cruise in October.  My kids are always trying to feed me all sorts of treats.

Caleb: Mom, PLEASE eat some ice cream, it is SO good!
Me: No, Caleb I am trying to lose some weight.
Caleb: NO!!! Then you won't be very snuggly and comfortable anymore!!

For some reason this picture won't load right..

Thanks to my friend Ann for taking such fun pictures of us!

Playground

Our house has become the center of it all!  All the kids around our house play in our back yard all day.  It is so fun to see them out there having a bast creating new games, playing every sport imaginable, and some just plain chatting on the deck.  One activity that has been a favorite is the huge slipin' slide.

The sun was so bright that day...
soak it in girls, you will need extra come February!

soakin' up the sun

I had so much fun editing these pictures.  I took the them looking into the sun.  Something that a lot of photographers are scared to do...me included.  But they really turned out cute.  I had tons of fun editing them (all a little different) and stayed up into the wee hours doing so!  I love my job! :)

The kids had so much fun showing off their tricks for the camera.  Can you tell?

On evening I went out trying to capture the beautiful sunset, but everything was in the way...house, trees, electric poles, it was very frustrating.  So I decided to snap a picture of our house.  Kurtis has been taking good care of the lawn and it shows!  I love our cute little house!
I have not once this summer stopped to smell the flowers...sad I know.  So finally today, I did. And you know what?  I liked it...sometimes life just gets too busy and we really forget to smell the roses.  I saw these beautiful hydrangeas and could not help but take a picture, and I am glad I did because it just turned out lovely.

The future looks bright

We went to Color Me Mine a few weeks ago and the kids painted to there hearts desire.  It was fun to watch them get so excited about their design, that was ALL theirs!  These will be a little peek into the life of a 4 and 7year old year down the road.

Porter has been sick all summer.  It is so hard to see such a normally happy boy be so sad.  These past few days he has been feeling a little better.  I love this last picture...it is so Porter.

This summer we have spent countless hours on the tramp and swing set (thanks to our wonderful friends how gave us their swing set when they moved!)  in our backyard.  The kids love to swing, and when they are not fighting they love playing together! :)

Typical summer afternoon: Caleb sweaty and SO happy to be playing outside, Hannah being a cheese and wearing her favorite dress, and Porter taking advantage of a nice warm place to lay his head.

I have made many treats this summer and this is by far our favorite, just a old fashion ice cream cone with a cherry on top! Yum!

More of the good stuff

Home video time!   Porter has such a cute laugh, when does let it all out!  Here is a little clip of him.  You have to turn it way up, sorry old camera!  (please don't pay attention to my kids arguing, Hannah's 2 headbands that she insisted on wearing that day, and my horrible recording skills!)

After a lot of thought I decided that I will be updating this blog with all my family pictures.  My photography blog will be for my client pictures and an occasional picture of my kiddos!  So keep this on your fav blog list!
