One tall glass of time, please.

My sweet little guy is getting so big and it is happening way to fast for me.  I never feel like I have enough time in the day to play with each one of my kids.  There is always something else to be done that seems to be "more" important.  I have finally realized, after having my third child, that it all happens in a blink of a eye and then they are 7 years old and are reading chapter books, going to school all day, and being...just big.  My goal is to get on the floor and play more, read more books to them, and hug and kiss them more.  If I could have it my way they would never grow up. I love you my sweet Porter, and please never grow up!
I love how sweet and innocent he looks in this picture.  I loved looking up at the tall trees.

Now, really who could not love this face???  I just can't get enough of it!

Porter has the biggest brown eyes, I love how rich they are.  (Gotta love the Binky and stick, it was way past nap time!)

Hannah was my big helper!  She can always make him smile.  The day that I was taking these pictures she said, Mom come over here, there is some sweet light!  Quick come take a picture!

Porter

I love these silhouettes of my kids.  I am going to print them out on vinyl and place them on the glass of an oval frame.  I am hanging them in my new and unproved master bathroom.  (pictures of that to come) I think that it is going to look beautiful.

I created them in photoshop, but the key was to get a good side profile of them first.  I took the picture of them standing in front of a bight sun bathed window.  Made sure that my flash was turned off and snapped away.  When you look at your LCD screen on your camera it should look like your background is totally blown out and your child should be almost black.  This should make it easy to edit in whatever program you have.  It only took me about 30 mins to do all three of my kids.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Where have you been?

I know, I know, I have totally neglected my blog lately!  I have been so busy building a NEW blog that I hardly have time to write/post anything.  I do have some amazing photos coming up so don't stop coming back!!  My new photography blog should be done shortly and will look amazing!  I am so excited for you all to take a gander at it!  But until then...

8 years and 3 kiddos later....

Last night Kurtis and I were talking about all the things that have changed since May 9th 2002.  Kurtis had more hair and I had a smokin' hot bod!  Now we both are lacking in both those areas, sad but true.  We have moved three times, owned two houses, endured 7+ years of school, and have had 3 babies.  We have no idea where or what we will be doing in another 8 years from now, but we know that we are very thankful for the last 8.
I love you honey!!
 Happy 8 years!

Sadly the only picture that I can find of us both is 3 years ago when we went to Hawaii.

A little extra love

A few weeks ago Hannah got a concussion.  It was not a pleasant experience.  She had a headache for 2 weeks.  She drained 1 and 1/2 bottles of pain killer and most nights she woke up crying.  My poor girl.  So for most of the first week we stayed home and did actives that did not require a lot movement/loud noises/ect. We went to the library and got this awesome book to learn how to make pictures out of you thumb and finger prints.  I have to admit that I loved doing it too!  I remember doing this when I was a kid and it looked like the book was about that old!

And what would a sick week be like without a little baking?!  I got this awesome idea from a blog...don't remember where but it was so fun and so easy!
Rainbow Muffins
Make batter as instruced on the box
Separate a white cake mix into 6 cups
add a different food coloring to each cup
Put a drop a spoon full of batter in muffin tin, layering each color.
Cook and EAT!  Yummy!!!
