I'm not dead yet...

You gotta love Mighty Python! Anywho..... We finally made it to Rochester MN about 3 o'clock last Monday. It was a very. very. very. LONG drive!!! But we made it and I don't want to drive that far again for a long time.

Our house is beautiful and huge! I don't know what to do with all the space! Kurtis and I are feeling very lucky that we got such a steal on it! Also, thanks to our Realtor, we have a brand spankin' new basement! We LOVE it!!

It took us a week to get unpacked, but I think that we have finally done it. Now it is just down to organizing and decorating! (the good stuff) We also have to paint the bedrooms, bathrooms and our beautiful lime green kitchen! I really want to paint my kitchen red, but am a little scared to. Anyone have a red kitchen an LOVE the color? If so what is it called? I am dying to know!
*sigh*
So much to paint so many different colors to choose from! As soon as I get everything the way I like it I will post some pictures.

More news....
Kurtis started his Derm Residency today! Yahoo!!!! Finally the last phase of this LONG. LONG. road......I can see the light!!!! We have 3 more years and then.....................WE ARE DONE!!! Kurtis was given these HUGE books to "read" they are at least 15 lbs each! Crazy! This first year is going to involve loads of reading and studying. But if you know Kurits he will just soak it all in like a little, no huge sponge!

On to the next (I feel like I have to written for forever!!!)
Kurtis and I both LOVE Rochester. It was been good to be back. We went to our new ward yesterday and new that we were in the right place when we over heard a guy saying (all smiles), "You won't believe what I got to do last night!!! A bla bla bla (really long word) bla sugary!!!" I just had to laugh! We had 5 new families move in to our ward as well. So I am not the only lonely soul! Although it was nice to go back to our old building and see people that we already knew in our ward! Plus seeing all of our friends! Our kids were so excited to play with their little friends again. BUT we do MISS our family back in Utah and Idaho! We can't wait to see you all again! You are all invited here any time that you want! We even have a room and bed for you!! Yeah!!

Well, I think that this has gone on long enough! I will post some pictures tomorrow of random things!

Just sold our washer and dryer!!! YEAH!!
(i know kinda lame to post this, but we have had 4 people call and "say" they are going to come look at them and NEVER came! GRRRR!!!)

One thing down ........99 more things to go!!

Stressed and Tired

There is one thing.....no tons of things that I don't like about moving:

1. All the BOXES!!
2. All the endless JUNK
3. The MESS
4. Starving for 2 days straight because we packed up all our food....not smart.
5. My kids are into EVERYTHING....so willing to help, yet.....well you know!
6. COUNTLESS trips to DI
7. Did I mention all the JUNK??!!

Needless to say we are almost done....I think, but you know how you think that you are finished and you move your couch and there is a jungle under there? Well, I am still waiting for that. Thankfully we saved all our boxes from our last move....one year ago, yes you heard right ONE YEAR AGO!! So I did not have to make the never ending trips to the Recycling center. (Did I just jump from one subject to another? I think that I am going INSANE!)

PS. I am trying not to be grouchy, but I am. I am so sad to leave my cute family. 3 years IS long....even though I have been telling myself and everyone else that it is not THAT long.

Today is a sad day.....I will miss you all!!! xoxoxoxo

Sun Shine and Summer Time

Could my 3 year old be sun bathing?? Well, I can assure you that she did not learn it from me!! Gross, that just gave me the chills! My poor neighbors!

In all honesty she is playing "doctor" with her friend Evelyn. Don't ask me where this idea derived from, but I think that it started when she and her cousin Bethany started to playing together. The funny thing is, her mom told me that Bethany hates going to the doctor! Silly girls!!

I LOVE this picture!!! It might be my new favorite, until tomorrow anyway!

I got Hannah some sun glasses the other day...... who knows where they are now....... but non the less, I had not snap these CUTE pictures!

Well. Editing these pictures helped me to remember that it is June and not April, AND I don't think that I am in Minnesota, this is Utah...right?? Anywho....be ready for an explosion of pictures. I had about 300 pictures on my camera and just have not had the time to sit down and devote hours to editing. Then, when I started I just could not stop! I had forgotten how much I love to edit! You have been warned!!! :)

Hannah, Hannah, Hannah.........

Most people think of Hannah as a "sweet little princess". Here primary teacher told Kurtis on Sunday that she is the most sweetest, smartest little girl in class. I can believe the smart but, sweet? Our Hannah? Now please, don't get me wrong, I love her more than anything. She CAN be very, very sweet. BUT, now there is a BIG BUT.....she is VERY dramatic!! Everything must go her way or there will be a rolling, kicking, screaming, war. No matter where we are or who is watching, she will put on the show.

Here is a nice little story that proves my point......
Today at Walmart we were doing our routine grocery shopping when all of the sudden Hannah noticed something that she HAD to show me!

"MOOOOOOM, GO BACK!!!" (screaming at the top of her lungs)

"No Hannah I am not going to walk back, mommy wants to hurry so that we can get out of here." (of cource said nice and calmly:))

"YES, GO BACK!!" (even loader screaming)
Now people are really starting to stair....

Then here comes a nice looking old lady.....and here is me trying to look for a detor....."please, just keep walking" I say to myself......

But no....
Little old Lady: "Little girl why are so being SO loud, you know that there are people in here that can hear you scream, and we don't like it!"

I say: "Yes, I know, sorry."

Just as soon as we walk away, Hannah starts all over again. "GO BACK! GO BACK!!!" Same old lady just glares at us. Now picture me trying not to laugh!

Now please note: This does not happen all of the time, but I sure does happen A LOT! We are hoping that Hannah will over come these ummmm...... issues......someday, someday.

*sigh*

I HEART this song!!!

This song is so beautiful! We have listened to it 5 times today! Hannah dances to it and Caleb dreams about being a "fancy piano player". It actually makes me want to whip out my old sheet music and practice! Enjoy!!!

Kurtis hates to dance, whenever I ask him to dance, his answer in always "no". So sad, I know.....So come to find out Hannah is the only girl that can get him up to dance! So I had to take advantage of this and get a few shots (even though the light was horrible!)!!

I no longer sit at the computer editing all day, I sit here all day looking up whatever I am craving, trying to find the best recipe for it! Yes, I know I am hungry all the time!!! Here is a recipe that I tried out the other day and it was SOOOOOO GOOD!!!! It will make your mouth water!!

BBQ Chicken Salad Puff Stackers

2 sheets thawed puff pastry, each sheet cut into 16 squares

Homemade BBQ Sauce (This BBQ Sauce is so yummy!!!)

1 ¼ Cups ketchup

3 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard

4 Tablespoons worstershire sauce

2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 Tablespoon lemon juice

3 Tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper

1 teaspoon honey

Pinch of salt

1 Rotisserie Chicken, shredded

4 Cups Baby Arugula, or salad of choice

4 Tablespoons prepared Ranch Dressing

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place squares 1 inch apart on a large baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until puffed and slightly golden.

2. Combine all BBQ Sauce ingredients into a medium saucepan over medium low heat. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring often. Reduce heat to low and stir in shredded chicken. Let simmer.

3. In a medium bowl, toss salad with ranch dressing. Spoon a bit of salad onto a puff pastry square then top with a spoonful of chicken. Top with another puff square and repeat layering. Serve warm.
